HIT & RUN ACCIDENT - No Arrest Was Made
New Rochelle, New York—A hit and run accident occurred Tuesday, October 19, 2021 on North Avenue and 5th Avenue at 5:19 PM.
The victim 72 year old, Geraldine Sinceno suffered multiple injuries and was admitted to the trauma unit at Jacobi Hospital. Ms. Sinceno’s injuries resulted to surgery and is
currently recovering in a nursing facility.
The family thanks the witnesses for assisting the New Rochelle Police in their pursuit in apprehending the driver going west on Lincoln Avenue. The driver is identified as 25 year old Gillian Getlan, daughter of Amusement Consultant’s, Michael Getlan. Ms. Getlan was issued a summons - no arrest was made.
According to Attorney Lauren P. Raysor, “The Sinceno Taylor family believes they have been treated unfairly in this investigation and has called on Miriam Rocah, Westchester County District Attorney to conduct a full and fair investigation.”
Ms. Getlan was required to appear on her Desk Appearance Ticket, November 18, 2021 at the New Rochelle Courthouse.

This Morning Jordan Aríel and I handed out flyers to inform our community about the Hit & Run.
We will be spending our Thanksgiving with Mom by her bedside. This will be the first thanksgiving that we are not at the table. We are so grateful for the prayers, cards and flowers but most of all we are grateful that Geraldine Sinceno is still alive!
